Chen wins rings title at gymnastics worlds

TOKYO - Chen Yibing, known as the "king" on the rings, scoring an outstanding 15.800 points on Saturday to claim China's second gold medal at the gymnastics world championships in Tokyo.
The second and third places went to Arthur Nabarrete Zanetti of Brazil and Koji Yamamuro of Japan, whose scores were 15.600 points and 15.500 points respectively.
Chen pumped his fists after staging a clean and impressive performance. He waved to the audience in the stadium and kissed the supporting pole before leaving the apparatus.
Chen had won three gold medals at the world championships and was the gold medallist on the men's rings at the Beijing Olympics.
