The London 2012 Paralympic Games, running from August 29 to September 9, will bring together 4,200 athletes from 166 countries and regions to compete in 503 medal events from 20 sports.
The Paralympic Games is the world's second largest major international multi-sport event, involving athletes with a range of physical disabilities, including mobility disabilities, amputations, blindness, and cerebral palsy.
The 14th Summer Paralympics will be held in London from Aug 29 to Sept 9. Some 4,200 athletes from 160 countries and regions will compete in 20 major events and 300 minor ones. This Paralympics has the largest number of participants ever.
