Bird's-eye view of largest enclosed house in western Jiangxi
Aerial photos show Dengjia Weiwu, the enclosed house of the Deng family, located in Fenyi county in Xinyu, Jiangxi province. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it is the largest enclosed house in western Jiangxi. It took the family 14 years to complete the house's construction. Enclosed houses are a traditional architecture style of the Hakka people, who migrated to the region and built these mini-fortresses to defend themselves. [Photo/China News Service] |
