Hippo jumps from moving truck, startling locals

'Ouch, it really hurt!'

A hippo was found in tears after falling from a truck on a street in Miaoli county, China's Taiwan, according to a report by ifeng.com.

The hippo, about two meters in length, broke its teeth after it fell from the vent hole of a truck carrying it. The vehicle, apparently unaware that the animal had fallen down, continued on its journey. The behemoth then struggled to sit up with tears in its eyes.

The owner of the prairie that owns the hippo was informed by local police and rushed to the spot to transport the animal for treatment.
