Fake CRT station sign to lure customers

A Chongqing Rail Transit (CRT) station sign at a construction site in Chongqing municipality turned out to be a fake hoarding planted by a real estate developer to attract buyers, Chongqing Morning Post reported on Monday.

As a newly developed area in northern Chongqing, the place has few public bus lines, and the CRT sign was obviously a good selling point to lure potential buyers.

To take a closer look, there is a line in small Chinese characters on the sign that reads "the CRT line will start operating in 2017".

According to the Chongqing Morning Post, although Line 5 is under construction, the station entrance would be away from the fake one after work finishes.

In our next story we reveal why a worker was fired on a cold winter night.
