Insecurity over sibling resurfaces again

The firstborn children of post-2000 generation seem to be uneasy with sharing their parents' love, even with their younger siblings.

A five-year-old girl, alias Gege, moved to her grandma's home and started calling her grandma "mother" after her brother was born six months ago, syd.com.cn reported.

Gege told her grandma that she didn't want to go back to her parents' home because "mother no longer loves me since brother arrived".

She is not the only one to bear this insecurity. Earlier January, a 13-year-old girl threatened her parent to kill herself if they had a second child. Her parents found a blade and scars on her wrist before deciding to terminate the 13-week pregnancy.
