Increasing urbanization has made land a scarce resource in cities. Some urban schools have utilized space by building running tracks on the roofs of their buildings, but one company took creative use of space even further by turning its roof into a farm.

The company, in Southwest China's Chongqing province, built a farm on the roof of an office building to help its employees relax their mind and body, chinanews.com reported on Wednesday.

The company employees cultivate rape flowers, lotus root and other vegetables, and even raise some poultry on the farm and can take home the crops at harvest.
