Top performers in Gaokao sell their notes
Six top performers in the Chinese college entrance exam, or Gaokao, are selling their notes at the gate of an exam site where students are taking exams to enter high school, on June 28, in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province.
Five of the six students have been admitted into Tsinghua University, one of the most prestigious universities in the country, and the other one was admitted to Hongkong University.
It is not clear how much they price their notes, or how many copies were sold. But there was obviously a lot of interest from buyers, with a throng of parents and students crowded around them, asking for information.
Users on Sina Weibo, one of China's most popular networking sites, voiced divergent opinions. Some said it's good for excellent students to share their knowledge, while others said they were sad to see that future elites were so money-minded, and that parents were so obsessed with high scores.
