TV host's vicious tongue causes backlash

TV presenters need to have the gift of the gab, but sometimes having too quick a tongue can reveal ignorance and draw criticism.

Zhou Libo, a famous host and comedian, was criticized by audiences for his remarks on a group of performers dressed in traditional Han costumes on a recent episode of a TV show he hosts.

Zhou mocked the performers for wearing "Korean costumes" and asked which bath center they came from (a euphemism for a place of prostitution).

Many netizens criticized him for not respecting the performers and lack of basic cultural knowledge.
