Beating the heat in an ice castle

As Chongqing has issued an orange alert for the high temperatures experienced in the city, residents have discovered a fashionable way to escape the heat: wearing padded clothing in an "ice and snow castle", Chinanews.com reported on Wednesday.

The "Snow Fairytale" themed recreational center, covering an area of 2,500 square meters, has become a refuge for visitors from the heat. Temperatures inside the castle are 10 degrees below zero, while the outside temperature hovered above 40 degrees Celsius.

They have a lot of fun in the castle playing mahjong, poker, as well as skating on the ice.

In our final story, a fugitive is caught when he uses another fugitive's ID to disguise himself.
