Fugitive uses another fugitive's ID, gets caught

A fugitive who planned to disguise his identity by using another person's ID unexpectedly found that the ID owner was also a fugitive, leading to his arrest.

The man surnamed Yang used an ID that he picked up when boarding a train in Xiaogan, Hubei province last Thursday, but was suspected of being another fugitive by the police. Ironically, the ID's real owner was also on the run.

Yang then confessed he was not the man on the ID card and showed another ID, which turned out to be his brother's after police enquired further.

Yang has been sent to Jingmen, another city in Hubei, where he was listed as wanted and he is now facing the accusation of illegally financing nearly 50 million yuan ($8.05 million).
