'Considerate' burglar leaves apology

Victims of a series of break-ins at a residential community in Zaoyang city, Hubei province were amused to find several apologetic notes left behind by the same burglar, Chinanews.com reported on Tuesday.

The cat burglar was later spotted after carrying out three break-ins in one night and falling asleep on the 11th floor of the building. He was caught by the police when trying to escape by climbing outside the building.

"We've watered the plants, and I'm sorry", "Sorry. I have taken drugs and there's no way out. I'm dying soon. Sorry, sorry, sorry" said one note written by the burglar. Another one said "Please don't blame the security guards, they have it tough, too", "Nobody can do a good job fending me off," the note added.

The burglar claimed that he left the notes just for "fun".

Valuables such as televisions, computers, mobile phones, jewelry and cash were stolen along with piggy banks, cigarettes and milk cartons, according to the report.
