Fake pentagon erected in E China

It is well known that there is no shortage of weird buildings in China. And recently, a building complex in East China's Shandong province with a striking resemblance to the US' Pentagon joined this list of extraordinary buildings.

Looking at the aerial views of the international convention center of Binzhou, one would naturally associate it with the office building of the United States Department of Defense because of its impressive shape.

It's not the first effort by Binzhou to build eye-catching structures. A couple of years ago, the city constructed a phony Nimitz-class aircraft carrier for commercial use and the big ship berths in a harbor close to the "Pentagon".
