Chinese shoppers' 10 favorite destinations in 2015

China's outbound tourism and shopping market has reached 684.1 billion yuan, 80 percent of which was generated by self-guided tours, according to Jiemian.com.
Spending by Chinese tourists in Japan, South Korea and Western countries exceeded 7,000 yuan per person. From January to October last year, Chinese tourists spent 5,830 yuan per person overseas, a 16.3 percent growth year on year. Out of all the outbound tourists, 53.6 percent traveled for shopping.
Japan tops Chinese self-guided tourists' favorite destinations. According to a list released by biaozhun007.com, a business analysis platform, and Mafengwo, a major tourist information-sharing website, five cities in Japan were included in the top 20 popular destinations in 2016.
