Culture Minister Luo meets foreign counterparts at 2nd Silk Road Inter'l Cultural Expo

On Sept 20, while visiting the second Silk Road International Cultural Expo in Dunhuang, Northwest China's Gansu province, Minister of Culture Luo Shugang respectively met with the Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adil Osmanovic, Minister of Culture and Sports of the Hellenic Republic Lydia Koniordou, Minister of Cultural Revival, Art and Social Modernization of the Republic of Niger Assoumana Malam Issa, and Minister of Cultural Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Kazakov Tugelbai.

Luo Shugang welcomed the ministers to the second Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo, positively evaluated the cultural relations between China and other countries, and exchanged views on further deepening bilateral cultural exchanges and cooperation.

In the meeting with Adil Osmanovic, Luo said that both China and Bosnia and Herzegovina have deep cultural traditions. The cultural cooperation between the two countries enjoys huge potential and promising prospects. The Belt and Road Initiative and "16 + 1" cultural cooperation mechanism have provided a historic opportunity for the cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries.

Luo expressed his hope to take the above two as an opportunity to promote the comprehensive development of cultural relations between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina in a sustained and in-depth manner. After the meeting, the two sides jointly signed the "Executive Program of Cultural Cooperation for the Year 2018-2021 between the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina".
