Kenneth Macpherson, Chief Executive Officer, IHG Greater China, paid tribute to all those involved in the event: "As of today, more than 200,000 pledges have been made to support IHG Foundation Week. Thanks to the tremendous fundraising efforts and participation from our staff, business partners and warm-hearted individuals, we have seen huge success with our fundraising activities over the past five years. Responsible business underpins everything we do at IHG. With the launch of the IHG Foundation, we will reach an even wider audience beyond our hotels and offices and continue to make our communities better places to be for all.
This is the sixth consecutive year that IHG held a worldwide, week-long fundraising campaign. This year, more than 65,000 IHG employees from over 270 hotels across Greater China joined employees in other parts of the world to organize a variety of creative activities, such as bake sales, sports games, volunteering and unique team-building challenges.
