Chinese Tea Tour to Maliandao Market

Join CCC's tea-tasting and learning tour to the largest tea market of China Maliandao in the southwest Beijing along street lined with thousands of tea wholesaling stores. They start the morning with tasting high grades of fresh and light tea - white peony (white tea) and dragon well (green tea), then try the oolong tea Tie Guan Yin. Tea origins, processing knowledge will be explained as well as kungfu tea ceremony and its complicated tea sets. Then have lunch in a nice Mao Family Restaurant featuring Hunan cuisine. In the afternoon visit another store to learn darker and earthier Puer and black tea. In the end, free time to shop around for tea, tea sets and gifts before boarding CCC coach back to Chaoyang district and CCC.

You don't have to be Irish to join the fun - everyone is welcome, and with an extended happy hour - 30 percent off all drinks plus buy-one-get-one-free on house mixed drinks - running till 10pm. The night is organized by the Irish Network China, Beijing GAA, Beijing Celtic and Paddy O'Sheas, so if you're interested in getting involved with the Irish community or its sports teams, and have a word with one of their members on the night.
