Grug and the Rainbow in Beijing

Grug began his life as the grassy top of a Burrawang tree. Fascinated by the world around him and never short of an adventure, now he's back by popular demand. Embarking on his own epic journey to find a rainbow, it always seems just beyond his grasp. But Grug is full of determination and his adventures are always full of surprises. Shanghai Dance - Boundary

Date: July 29-31 - 7:30 pm

Venue: Shanghai Grand Theater

Price: 80-580 yuan

"Boundary" aims to discuss the relationship of desolation and communication. While caught in a heavy rain at a busy crossroad in Shanghai, it might not occur to you that at that very moment there are others waiting anxiously in the rain on the other end of the world. You are all waiting for a sign, a connection. This July, NDT's Chinese artist Wang Jianhui, who has been featured in works by internationally renowned choreographers such as Jiri Kylian, Paul Lightfoot, and Crystal Pite, will produce a piece performed by NDT dancer Chuck Jones and brilliant Chinese dancers.
