Fengwu Liangcang, a new bakery in Beijing's CBD, is to elevate Beijing diners' love for bakery, with a top Taiwan baker Wu Wu-Xian as its brand director. Most of the breads in the bakery are European soft breads that appeal to Asian palate, and all the offerings are freshly handmade every day, using natural yeast. The shop claims it never uses frozen bread dough or artificial butter.

As the Mid-autumn day is to fall on Sept 15 this year, South Korean bakery chain Tous Les Jours has launched new series of moon cakes with three types of gift packages. Each package contains some classics of Cantonese and Yunnan-style moon cakes, which are among the most popular four types of moon cakes in China, as well as innovative moon cakes the bakery recently developed, such as moon cakes stuffing with matsutake and Xuanwei ham.
