A Date With Angels

New Music Orchestra, a newly-founded chamber music ensemble, which is composed of 50 Chinese classical musicians, will give a charity concert for donation of listening and mentally impaired children in Beijing. Half of the members of the orchestra are musicians from China National Symphony Orchestra. With programs featuring Edward Elgar's Salut d'Amour, Camille Saint-Saens' Cello Concerto No 1 in A minor, Op. 33 and John Williams' Schindler's List, the concert, titled A Date With Angels, will also see the collaboration between New Music Orchestra and two young Chinese musicians, violinist Shi Hanchi and cellist Jiang Yuqi, both are currently studying at the Juilliard School.
