"The president offered US$115 million over two years in food aid and US$42.5 million of that will be available over the next six to nine months," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.

It was reported that the Bush administration, regarding Pakistan as an anti-terrorism ally, has provided Pakistan more than US$10.5 billion for military, economic, and development activities in the 2002-2007 period.
