JERUSALEM -- The video clips found in a cell phone showed the scene of Israeli policemen humiliating and striking Palestinian civilians in East Jerusalem, Xinhua has learnt on Friday.

In one of the clips released by the Yesh Din human rights organization, an armed Israeli border policeman is seen hitting Palestinian detainees. In another video a second border guard is seen forcing a young Palestinian to salute him. The videos appear to be filmed in July 2007 and August 2008.

"The video were found in a cellular telephone that a border policeman lost," the Yesh Din said in a statement.

The organization, which monitors legal procedures applied to Palestinian complaints against Israelis, has demanded Israeli Justice Department's Police Investigation Department to investigate the cases.

Natalie Rosen, of Yesh Din's legal counsel, demanded that the cases should be thoroughly investigated and the policemen involved in should be brought to justice.

On July 30, a Palestinian boy was shot dead by Israeli security forces during a demonstration against Israel's security barrier near the West Bank village of Naalin.

On the same day, Israeli army suspended the commander of the 71st battalion in the Armored Corps, Lieutenant Colonel Omri Bruberg, over allegations he ordered a soldier to fire a rubber bullet at point-blank range at a bound and blindfolded Palestinian.
