Accused Mumbai gunman requests Pakistani envoys

Updated: 2008-12-22 23:15 NEW DELHI -- India says the accused gunman being held in connection with the Mumbai attacks has asked to meet with Pakistani diplomats.
Pakistan High Commission spokesman Abid Saeed says the letter requesting a meeting with Pakistani authorities was handed over to the acting high commissioner Monday and was being examined. Ten accused Islamic militants stormed into buildings across India's commercial capital on Nov. 26. More than 160 people were killed in the rampage and siege that followed. |
