MANILA  -- An explosion hit a live concert at a restaurant in Basilan province of southern Philippines Tuesday evening, wounding at least a dozen people, local police said.

On-line news network INQUIRER.Net quoted local police source as saying that an unidentified man lobbed a grenade at the concert crowd at around 21:00 local time (1300 GMT) in downtown Isabela City.

The authority does not have an immediate suspect and no group claimed responsibility over the blast.
