MOGADISHU --  Newly-appointed Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Mohamoud Guled has announced his resignation, agencies' reports said on Wednesday.

Somali President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed last Tuesday named Guled as new prime minister after he sacked Prime Minister Nur Hassan Hussein, but the parliament has rejected the decision and reinstated Hussein, giving confidence in his cabinet.
