Police say no one in the convoy of Minister Abed Theyab was injured in the Thursday morning attack but three civilian bystanders were wounded.

Elsewhere, police say one government security guard was killed and four bystanders were injured when another bomb exploded on Nidal Street. The street is also in central Baghdad, near Tahrir Square. That attack appeared to target a Housing Ministry convoy.

All the police officials giving the toll spoke on condition of anonymity because they aren't authorized to release the information to media.
