Mixture-drink kills 14 in Indonesia

JAKARTA -- Fourteen people have died after they drank an alcohol-mix drink in Central Indonesia's Java province, National police spokesman Sulistyo Ishak said here Monday.

The 14 drank the drink in Semarang Barat district of the province on January 15, then they returned homes as their condition were weak then their condition turn to be critical, the spokesman said.

"They died in their homes not at the same time and now the total death toll has been 14,"Ishak told Xinhua.

The local police are investigating the case and questioned the seller of the drink, he said.

Ishak said that the police also try to find out the type of the material used in the mixed drink.
