Divers find plane wreckage in Hudson

NEW YORK:A New Jersey state police official says divers have found the wreckage of a plane that collided with a sightseeing helicopter over the Hudson River.

Lt. Albert Ponenti said Monday that the single-engine Piper was found in 50 feet of water about 250 yards from the New Jersey side of the river.

New York police spokesman Paul Browne says divers had returned to the water as of 2:45 p.m. EDT after suspending the search because of poor conditions.

Two bodies of people who were on the plane have remained missing.
