Kim Yong Il, prime minister of the DPRK, said during a speech at the meeting that the country had brought down the plots of the imperialists, and preserved the "original state" of socialism under the "energetic leadership" of the leader Kim Jong Il.

It was the victory of the Songun (military-first) policy of the DPRK to successfully test-fire a satellite and another nuclear bomb this year,  he added.

He called for implementation of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration (2000) and the October 4 declaration (2007), and reenergizing the movement for national reunification.

"The DPRK government will boost the solidarity with the peoples of all the countries in the world ... and wage a dynamic struggle for building an independent and peaceful new world against aggression and war," he said.
