Chinese mainland H1N1 cases top 13,000

The Ministry of Health announced 13,262 patients have been confirmed with the A(H1N1) influenza as of yesterday, Xinhua News Agency reported.

There have been no deaths from the disease and 8,805 patients have been cured. Out of 1,540 more confirmed cases from Sept 19 to Sept 21, 1,531 patients were infected locally and nine cases were from overseas.

The Health Bureau of Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province said 15 students in the city were confirmed with the flu as of Sept 20 and are in stable condition.

Thirty-eight confirmed cases were found in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, with 33 patients being treated and five cured as of Sept 20, according to the Inner Mongolia prevention and control team for the A(H1N1) influenza.
