Strong earthquake jolts major cities of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale jolted major Pakistani cities of Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar early Friday, according to local TV reports.

Many people ran out of their houses to the open air in fear as their cities were hit by the earthquake, with the epicenter at the Koh Hindu Kush range.
