"Such an event did not take place," a defense ministry official said, when asked about the accusation reported by DPRK's state media that RKO soldiers intruded into the DMZ and fired guns toward a civilian police post in the DPRK.

Pyongyang denounced the alleged move as a "premeditated provocation."
