The war game reached all its pre-determined goals, he was quoted as saying.
"We also tested laser smart weapons. They hit their targets with 100 percent of accuracy," he was quoted by the IRNA as saying.
The minister said that the military drill carried the message of peace and friendship to all regional states, the report said.
The exercises proved Iran's high defensive potentials, he said, adding that the IRGC forces indicated that they could safeguard the security of the entire region.
The IRGC started a series of war games in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, code-named as the Great Messenger 5, to boost vigilance and combat preparedness of its naval forces. The drill ended on Sunday by simultaneously test- firing five coast-to-sea and sea-to-sea missiles.
