BANGKOK: Six bodies were found inside the Pathumwanaram Temple due to violent clashes on Wednesday night, acting government spokesman Panithan Wattanayakorn said Thursday morning.
In a related development, the website by the Nation newspaper reported that at 10:00 am, officials retrieved the six bodies from inside the temple, while one of them was a woman.
The Pathumwanaram Temple, which is the shelter for the anti- government protestors, especially children, the elderly, and women, is located next to the Rajprasong Intersection in central Bangkok.
Before the anti-government protestors were dispersed on Wednesday afternoon, the Rajprasong Intersection had been occupied by the "red-shirts" protestors since early April.
