Former Indian finance minister wins presidential polls

NEW DELHI - Former Indian Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday won the country's presidential election, defeating his main challenger and former parliament speaker P.A. Sangma by a huge margin.

The 77-year-old will be sworn in as the country's 13 head of state by the Chief Justice of India on Wednesday.
