NEW DELHI - At least 16 people were killed Sunday evening when a bus in which they were traveling rolled down a gorge in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, said police Monday.
The incident took place near Kaladungi town as around 50 people were in the bus returning from a marriage held in Barapatthar area of Nainital district of the state.
The driver lost control of the bus while negotiating a turn and the bus skidded off the road and fell down in the gorge after breaking the divider, said police.
