ANKARA -- At least 20 people were killed and 28 others injured in a traffic accident on Thursday as a passenger bus turned over in Kaysari province in central Turkey, private NTV news channel reported.
The bus, coming from Turkey's largest city of Istanbul to the eastern province of Mus, lost control of itself due to heavy fog and slippery road in Pinarbasi town of Kayseri early Thursday morning, according to the report.
The bus hit the mid-road barrier and turned over into the opposite lane, leaving 20 passengers dead and 28 others injured at the scene of the accident, said the report.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Kayseri as well as Pinarbasi State Hospital for treatment, added the report.
