HK chief executive to attend APEC meeting

HONG KONG - Hong Kong Chief Executive C Y Leung will leave for Beijing on Saturday to attend the Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2014 Leaders' Week and other related meetings, according to the news website of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government on Thursday.
On Sunday morning, Leung will attend the opening session of the APEC CEO Summit, and he will address a discussion session of the summit entitled "The Global Economy Today: How Sustainable? How Fragile?" in the afternoon.
Leung will also attend the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and meet with leaders of other member economies and APEC Business Advisory Council members. He will also pay visits to central ministries next Wednesday.
Leung will depart Beijing in the evening next Wednesday. During his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration Carrie Lam will be the acting chief executive.
