Anti-Japanese forces in Philippines

The Philippines Chinese Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Forces was founded by Chinese in May 1942 in Philippines. The resistance force against Japanese invaders made brilliant achievements during the World War II.

There were only 52 members with nine guns in the Chinese-built force at its early stage.

The force fought in 14 provinces in Philippines, killed, injured and captured more than 2,000 enemy soldiers in the battles that lasted three years and four months before Japan surrenders in 1945.

Some 43 members of a Philippines Chinese youth anti-Japanese mortar regiment lost their lives during the war.

The regiment members formed an underground resistance force against the Japanese and carried out guerilla warfare behind Japanese lines.
