Hu Jibang, the only Chinese war correspondent who reported on the Great Patriotic War, was honored as "the first outstanding Chinese female who had been to the Soviet Union". With a mastery of various languages including English, French, Russian and Japanese, Hu went to the Soviet Union the first time the war broke out and covered the whole process of the battles. She reported the Soviet people's perseverance and the fascists' cruelty to the Chinese, encouraging people in her mother country to keep fighting and never surrender. Besides reporting, she was also a brave soldier facing the German army's attacks. Hu had attended a series of important international meetings held in Moscow during and after the war and interviewed many political titans including Joseph Stalin, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman and Winston Churchill.

Numerous Chinese heroes, though unknown by public, had made great contributions to the Soviet Union's success against the fascists. What they did will never be forgotten by history.
