UFA, Russia - Ahead of the BRICS and SCO summits to be held here in less than 24 hours, a well-equipped media center opened on Tuesday to receive journalists coming from both home and abroad.
Ufa, capital of Russia's Bashkortostan Republic, will hold the Seventh BRICS summit and the 15th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State from July 8 to 10.
As Russia highly values the coverage and publicity of the two international gatherings, the host set up a well-equipped media center at the square of the main conference hall.
Covering an area of 8,500 square meters, the media center consists of several function areas for text, TV and radio reporting.
In the center, there are more than 250 work stations equipped with computer, telephone and Internet access. In addition, 30 and eight cabins are respectively at disposal for TV and radio reporters.
What's more, all media personnel can enjoy free food around the clock made by the chef of Rustem Khamitovthe, head of the Bashkortostan Republic.
Ufa has completed all the facilities needed for the two summits, Khamitovthe said in an recent interview with Xinhua.
Ufa will present its best to the world and promote the world's understanding of Ufa and the Bashkortostan Republic at large, he added.
