Business group launches in Kenya

In an effort to improve its economic welfare in Kenya, the Chinese community in the East African country on Saturday officially launched the Kenya Chinese Chamber of Commerce (KCCC).

The Chamber of Commerce will regularly invite related Kenyan institutions and communities to discuss the difficulties in work and set up a cooperation platform according to the requirements of the Chinese businesspeople.

It will also help its member enterprises to expand local cooperation channels and prevent investment risks, as well as overcome various difficulties and hardships along its path, set up a good image in Kenya, and shoulder social responsibilities.

According to Han Jun, the chairman, China Chamber of Commerce in East Africa, the establishment of KCCC is in line with the requirements of Chinese and Kenyan economic development and the wishes of the Chinese businesspeople in Kenya.

"I feel very happy that the big family of the Chinese community in Kenya and East Africa has got a new member. We, the East Africa Chinese Community and the overseas Chinese, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, wish to jointly hold high the patriotic banner with The Kenya Chinese Chamber of Commerce, unite and form cohesive forces with domestic and overseas Chinese to co-realize and co-share the Chinese Dream," he said.

He urged domestic and overseas Chinese from all walks of life to contribute to China's economic construction and promotion of Africa's economic construction, as well as actively implement the strategy of "going abroad".
