He Zhenwei, secretary-general of China Overseas Development Association (CODA), a national non-profit social organization, announced on Tuesday that the fair will be held in Beijing from Nov 21 to Nov 22.
The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) emphasizes the importance of promoting international cooperation on production capacity and opening up on all fronts. As the report General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered at 19th National Congress of the CPC points out, "openness brings progress, while self-seclusion leaves one behind. China will not close its door to the world; we will only become more and more open."
"General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly pointed out at the report that we should pursue the Belt and Road Initiative as a priority to promote international cooperation on production capacity and build up our strengths for international economic cooperation and competition, which highly correspond to the theme of our Fair," He said.
"The efficiency of Chinese economy obviously has improved a lot, which can support the international production capacity cooperation and higher-level mutual investment," he added.
Dong Bin, chairman of Sino-European Entrepreneurs Summit Committee, said China has become a global investment center and the international capital market shows unprecedented concern and interest to China, which indicates great potential of China's economic and social development.
The fair has been successfully held annually for past eight years. He Zhenwei said the fair this year will invite senior officials, business tycoons and professionals all over the world to present and they will interpret the new trend of Chinese economy, and pursue further cooperation on production capacity, including mega projects.
Representatives from more than 100 countries and regions, who specialize in key areas, such as equipment manufacturing, infrastructure construction, agriculture, e-commerce, telecommunication and new energy, will also be present.
