Yunnan New Film Project become 'the big star' in Japan

Lola, the chief producer, elaborated the connotation of Yunnan New Film Project (YNFP) on the 'Cooperation Forum'. Firstly, YNFP hopes to share the cultural experience of Yunnan through the films and display the ten different places of Yunnan by ten typical stories. The ten independent films will lead the audience into a magical Yunnan. Secondly, YNFP hopes to bring the ten young talented female directors to the world. They come from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and their artistic career varies from film making, documentary, play, literature, modern arts to music, which will certainly bring some surprising changes into the film arts. Thirdly, YNFP hopes to create some new genre films to the audience, which varies from comedy, thriller, love story, musical, family film, black humor to western film.

Lola took YNFP as an example and demonstrated the function of creativity industry in international cooperation to the Sino-Japan delegation on the seminar. YNFP will display the influence and the effect in the pyramid-shape way. At the top of pyramid is the commodity of film, next is disseminating the local culture, and then it's the project bringing many economic cooperation .At the bottom of the pyramid is enhancing the communicating in culture and economy through the films. YNFP definitely has all the functions.

The promo of YNFP and two trailers of Chinese Father and the Case were also showed on the seminar. Chinese father and the Case will be screened in the beginning of 2007. YNFP is preparing for The Peach Blossom Land and Pu'er Tea right now, and all the other eight films will be finished in 2007.During the Sino-Japan Film Industry Conference, the Japanese film producers predicted that YNFP must attract lots of attentions when the ten films are screened together in the future.
