Chinese naval fleet wraps up visit to Philippines

DAVAO, The Philippines -- A Chinese naval fleet on Tuesday left Davao City in southeastern Philippines after a three-day friendly visit.
During the visit, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte visited missile destroyer Changchun, and local dignitaries and staff of the Chinese Embassy attended a deck reception hosted by the naval fleet.
Officers of the two navies held a series of cultural and sports activities, while representatives of the Philippine civilian and navy, Chinese embassy staff and overseas Chinese also visited missile frigate Jingzhou.
It is the first time for a Chinese naval fleet to visit Davao, the Philippines' third largest city.
Afterward, the Chinese naval fleet is scheduled to head to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam for a friendly visit.
