Weizhou Island, in Beihai city in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, is China's largest, albeit youngest, volcanic island. It has many distinct scenic spots, including South Bay dock, with its display of fishing boats and fishermen at sundown, the 140-year old Roman Catholic church, Turtle Stone Park, and the fishing villages of Xieyang Island. Because it is less visited, the natural resources on Weizhou Island are very well preserved.
