Return of the Taliban: What's next for Afghanistan?

chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2021-09-08 14:54

It's a wait and watch scenario. Nobody can predict now. Hope things settle in a few weeks' time. I think if there are no external interferences, peace and unity may prevail in a few months from now.

Afghanistan is badly in need of funds. The collapsed nation needs to be rebuilt which is the need of the hour. A shift to some extent from their extremist policies will attract some external support. They have to prove to the international communities their integrity and credibility.
