"I have seen their work and listened to them talking about their work when I was a little child, so the industry is familiar to me," she said.
After graduation, she left for Xinjiang to work, traveling from the northeast to the northwest. Her mother was worried about her being far away from home.
"Although I was a little worried about it as well, I had to leave for work. They had a vacancy for me and it matched my major," said Lu, who joined the State Grid Turpan Electric Power Company in 2016.
In 2019, she signed up for a drone training class offered by the company. The company was promoting power tower inspection by drone and planned to recruit four drone operators.
