State Grid Turpan's 1st female drone flyer keeps power lines working

"I realized I was the only female in the 40-person class just when I entered the room," she said.

After finishing courses, she was appointed to build the first drone team in her company. Her first crew member was a colleague her age, who learned fast and did well in the training.

The two got to know more about each other when they flew drones, and later they become a couple.

"He is on the maintenance team now," Lu said. "But we still talk about work, exchange ideas and experiences, and he always helps and supports my projects."
