Artists from across the world, including China, France, Morocco, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Laos, joined the third season of Legend of Ocean - New Year Poem Concert, which was held in Hainan Ocean Paradise Resort in Lingshui Li autonomous county, South China's Hainan province.

Mahavong Thinlamphone from Laos, who studies vocals at Guangxi Arts University, said the more she learned about Chinese culture, the more she began to fall in love with it. At the concert, she performed the hit single All Day All Night, which combines traditional Laos dance and musical instruments with modern music.

Ni Putu Kaniya Indira, an international student from Indonesia, said in an interview that although Chinese and Indonesian people speak different languages, they are connected in terms of sharing sentiments. For instance, the inspirational and heart-warming lyrics in different languages encourage every dream pursuer, even when they are in a tight corner.

"I hope that through songs in the concert, the element of ocean can be used as a means to promote people-to-people exchanges between both countries, so that the construction of a community of shared future between China and Indonesia can go smoothly all the way," she said.

She believes that the Hainan Free Trade Port will provide a bigger stage and better opportunity for international students, and she wants to become a "bridge" for cultural exchanges between Indonesia and China.

The bilingual recitation of Chinese poems and singing songs aside, the Li brocade, which epitomizes China's earliest textile practices and is the only world-class intangible cultural heritage of Hainan province, was also showcased on the concert's stage. Chinese and foreign models wore traditional Hainan clothing and hit the runway as Ukrainian artist Maxim Novitskiy sang two songs.
